Methadone + heroin

Took Iboga on December 2000.
As of January 15 2004, Philippe has still not used heroine and has no intention to.
He is actively participating to help other drug addicts.

I started drinking and smoking drugs at the age of 13/14.

Then, I started taking a lot of medications (Tranxene, Lixantia, Xanax, Equanil).

At the age of 19, I went to live at the Sonacotra Home. (detox/rehabilitation center).

At the age of 20, after a significant abuse of alcohol and benzodiazepine, I was stricken by hepatitis, with delirium tremens (delirious tremors). I was strapped with leather belts to a bed for one week.

I started using heroine at the age of 21 (I already had some previous experiences), since I could not drink for a all year. In six months time, I was consuming 5 grams a day.

In 1996, I met a cool girl with whom I stayed for four years, and since I am clean now thanks to iboga, I realized how much she has suffered from my dependence.

I used Subutex for two and a half years to end up in a methadone center for three years. In addition to those drugs, I was a “polydrug addict“, as they say (ecstasy, mescaline, lsd…). Those five and a half years were horrible. I was always tired, my legs were aching, my head was up my ass and taking methadone and heroine did not make me feel better, except in the evenings after 9 pm. I slept all the time, lethargic and anesthetized.

I learned about iboga in “effervescience” (documentary) about three years ago. After some internet research, I had access to the Bwiti Mitsogho initiation.

In one night, nevertheless difficult (it is physically strenuous), I was able to free myself from heroine with only one withdrawal symptom: cold sweats.

During this night (unlike many other people, I didn’t have any perpetual visions, but only two signs into the Bwiti), I had the felling that all the drugs I had taken were coming out from all the pores of my body. This lasted 4 or 5 days. I was very tired for two weeks, but my initiator came to see me at my place for three weeks and that really helped me. Today, three months later, I still feel very good.

What is amazing with iboga, is that I was able to eliminate my dependence to heroine completely, I freed myself from my prison. On the other hand, the other drugs to which I don’t become addicted (ecstasy, lsd, ashish) I can still use if I want.

I think that by concentrating well, any dependence can be overcome.

I will not go as far as saying that iboga is a miraculous plant, but it deserves the title of “the plant of freedom”, or at least, “plant of truth” because it can help us find ourselves and better understand oneself amongst other people and life.

So, on one side, there is the methadone prison for life, and on the other side, for those who have had the chance to meet iboga, FREEDOM.

The research, financed by the State was stopped as soon as it appeared that the results were positive.

Iboga has become a schedule 1 substance in the US.

It is not neutral to note that in the three countries where iboga is illegal, two of them being the US and Switzerland, host the biggest pharmaceutical companies in the world…

Treatments for addiction with ibogaine are offered in clinics outside the US for exorbitant prices.

Nevertheless, treatments for addiction should be made available for everyone. It seems like not all drug addicts are rich…

Les recherches, financée par l'état ont été interrompues dès qu'il est apparu que les résultats étaient positifs.

l'iboga a été interdite aux USA.

Il n'est pas neutre de noter que dans les 3 pays ayant interdit l'ibogaïne, deux, USA et SUISSE possèdent les plus grosses compagnies pharmaceutiques du monde .....

Des traitements de l'addiction avec l'ibogaïne sont actuellement proposés dans des cliniques hors USA à des prix ahurissants.

Pourtant le traitement de l'addiction devrait être à la portée de tous.
Il me semble que tous les toxicomanes ne sont pas richissimes....
